Over the last 6 months David Helbich and Thomas Laureyssens observed and registered with mixed media the movements of pedestrians in the commune Ixelles/Elsene (Brussels). In this exhibition they show video- and sound-installations made from this material. The "Urban Obstacle Walk" will open and close the exhibition. Check the map for more info.

Thomas Laureyssens is an artist who reflects on human movements in urban space. The main focus of interest in this work are flow and obstacles. This leads to several observations and visualisations in the shape of videos and installations.

Thomas experiments with interfaces and art games, for which he got a Rhizome commission in 2005. He currently is researching topological visualisations in the media-arts field.
